Every day, residents of eastern Ukraine experience the horror of shelling from the Russian military. In small villages most people have nowhere to hide from the hail of bullets, and their own home becomes a trap for them.

Foundation Unity and Strength from Ukraine, in cooperation with local authorities and our dear partner Koper Pomaga Foundation, organizes shelters for civilians in case of shelling. They are just starting a project to build 108 shelters.

The project Life Corner will be implemented in the villages of Kucherivka, Petropavlivka, Synkivka and Podolia. This is a region heavily affected by warfare. There is no electricity, gas or water there. Water is available only in places where there are wells.

Natalia, the coordinator of the project, wants to supply each point with the following equipment:

1. power generators,

2. electric chargers,

3. gasoline,

4. extension cords,

5. lamps,

6. long-term food,

7. cleaning and hygiene products

8. water,

9. medication,

10. gas cylinders and cookers,

11. instant soups and porridges,

12. fire extinguishers,

13. water filters,

14. blankets, sleeping bags, heating blankets

15. folding beds.

See what the shelters that have been built so far by Natalia and her team look like:

Listening to the reports of our friends from the Koper Pomaga Foundation, who regularly transport humanitarian aid to Kharkiv and Kupiansk, we decided to join forces with them and support the implementation of Life Corners.

Thanks to the cooperation and trust built over the last 12 months, the Forum Foundation and the Chambers are working with a partner in the Netherlands, who proposed to send 52 generators with the capacity of 5.5 kW to the region, without receiving payment in advance.

The generators were transported from the Netherlands to Poland thanks to the generosity of Fracht FWO Poland and delivered to Kharkiv.

The Forum Foundation undertook to make every effort to cover the costs of the generators. and to deliver other necessary items to the shelters. The bilateral chambers of commerce intend to support the Forum Foundation in their efforts, hoping that the effect of joint actions will lead again to great success.

We invite you to join us and to support the project through donations and by spreading the news.
